None of the stargazing tours carries a park entrance fee. The price you see is the price you pay, plus tips if you want to leave them.
How to Choose
The moon decides your date, not the tour
Every operator here works to the same constraint: a bright moon washes out the faint objects. Some tours simply do not run within three days of a full moon; others switch to a moon-and-planets session instead and say so. If your dates fall on a full moon, book a moon session on purpose rather than expecting the Milky Way.
Group size is the real price difference
A $33 seat means sharing two telescopes with a busload. Around $45 to $50 you are still in a group, but with a photographer and a bigger instrument. Above $150 you are in a private party of four to six with the guide to yourself.
None of these is better; they answer different questions.
What is actually included
Hot drinks, wine or pisco sour and blankets are standard — the desert drops below freezing at night year round. Photos are not standard: some tours send deep-sky images the next day, some take a portrait of you under the sky, and some take nothing at all.

What is the best month for stargazing in the Atacama?
April to early June and September to November give the driest, most stable skies. January and February fall in the Altiplanic Winter, when afternoon cloud builds over the Andes and night cancellations are more likely. Do stargazing tours run during a full moon?
Some do not. The private secret-spot tour states it runs every clear night except within three days of a full moon. Others switch to observing the moon and planets and reduce the deep-sky part of the evening. Check the tour page for the operator's own wording before you pick a date.
How cold does it get on a stargazing tour?
Below freezing on winter nights and cold in every season, because the desert loses its heat as soon as the sun sets. Operators supply blankets; they do not supply clothing. A thermal layer, a fleece and a windproof shell are the difference between watching the sky and waiting for the van.
Is a stargazing tour worth it if I have a good camera?
The tours that include astrophotography are worth it for the location and the tracking gear, not for the tuition. If you already shoot the night sky and just want dark skies, you can drive out of San Pedro yourself — but you lose the telescope, the guide and the transport, and you will be alone in the dark at altitude.
